Walk in the Woods

Lesson: English

Class: 1K Year: 2023 - 2024

At the start of this Autumn term we went for a walk into our wooded area on the field. We used our senses to explore. We talked about the things we could see, hear, feel and smell. We talked about how we would tasting objects that were not food. We gathered natural materials and brought them back to the playground where we made pictures using the various objects. This term we have been writing all about our experience in the woods and we have now come to the end of this topic. We have had lots of fun!

‘We are saddened to confirm the departure of our Headteacher, Mr. McCoy, who left Sherdley Primary School at the end of the Spring Term. From the Summer Term, Mrs. Bennett will be acting as Head. With this in mind and as you can appreciate, many of our policies have Mr. McCoy's name on, these will be updated to Mrs. Bennett.
