Great Fire of London workshop

Lesson: History

Class: 2C Year: 2023 - 2024

We had an amazing time in school today at our Great Fire of London workshop!

We got the chance to do some of the jobs that the people would have done in 1666 including making candles at the chandlers, making leather bookmarks and making our own soaps and scented bags to help keep away the plague! 

In the afternoon, we were archaeologists and found different artefacts which gave us clues to the past.

‘We are saddened to confirm the departure of our Headteacher, Mr. McCoy, who left Sherdley Primary School at the end of the Spring Term. From the Summer Term, Mrs. Bennett will be acting as Head. With this in mind and as you can appreciate, many of our policies have Mr. McCoy's name on, these will be updated to Mrs. Bennett.
