Creating artwork based on Monet

Lesson: Art and design

Class: 2F Year: 2023 - 2024

In 2F we have been learning about the artist-Claude Monet. We have been learning about primary and secondary colours, how to make colours lighter and darker and how to sketch carefully. Today we finished our final pieces, where we have tried to recreate one of Monet's famous paintings. 
We have used watercolour paints, pencil crayons and oil pastels to create our final pieces. We also got a little bit messy- especially when we were blending the oil pastels with our fingers!

‘We are saddened to confirm the departure of our Headteacher, Mr. McCoy, who left Sherdley Primary School at the end of the Spring Term. From the Summer Term, Mrs. Bennett will be acting as Head. With this in mind and as you can appreciate, many of our policies have Mr. McCoy's name on, these will be updated to Mrs. Bennett.
