Chocolate Apples

Class: Pre-School Year: 2023 - 2024

On Thursday before half term we looked at the festival Halloween and we decided to make chocolate apples.  We looked at the solid bar of chocolate and had to decide how we were going to get the chocolate onto the apple.  The children predicted that we needed to melt the chocolate in order to make it runny so that we could dip the apples in the chocolate.  The children then went onto break up the chocolate and put it in the microwave - we talked about how the chocolate went from a solid to a liquid.  This is such a great science experiment that the children certainly enjoyed taking part in.

I wonder how many will ask to make chocolate apples at home?
